The Eco 8 is one of the simplest and cheapest “full-size” electric helis. Although not as large as a typical 30 size gasser, it is a reasonable size and is a good learning machine. It has a reputation for being a bit basic, but this has produced a huge range of upgrades and modifications, which each improve performance is a small way, so together can result in a very capable machine.

The world electric helicopter duration record is held by a modified Eco 8, and the unofficial attempt to beat that was also with an Eco 8.
